By the end of the course you will:
- Have an awareness of the legislation relating to equality and diversity
- Define equality
- Define diversity
- Be able to identify different forms of discrimination
- Know how to challenge discrimination
- The Equality Act 2010
- The act came into effect from 01 October 2010.
- It is a single act requiring equal treatment in access to employment as well as private and public services, regardless of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, maternity or pregnancy, race, religion or belief, sex and sexual orientation.
- The UK framework has two elements to this act:
- The anti-discriminatory framework
- The public duties
At the end of the training session, there are 10 multiple choice questions (MCQs), based on the course content you will now go through. These MCQs must be answered correctly in order to pass the course.
If you answer any of the questions incorrectly, you are given the opportunity to retake the course and successfully complete the test to receive the completion certificate.
The course will take approximately 2 hours to complete.
